Has anyone else noticed how a tile pattern can change the whole feel of an architectural space? I’m curious about Malaga-style tiles in particular. Do you think their character works better in a larger mosaic composition, or can a smaller section of patterned tile have just as much visual impact?

The interesting thing about decorative tile is how much the pattern can influence the character of a surface without changing its structure.
